Sandpino's Coffee & Brews opened this spring in the Golf Course Center, pairing morning specialty coffee with an evening taproom lineup of Sonoma County beers and wines. The family-run spot is aiming to be the neighborhood's go-to for breakfast, lunch and after-work drinks, with owners Darlene and Ruben Sandoval leaning into local partnerships and a thrift-sourced vintage look inside.
Local roasts, bakery treats and Sonoma taps
On the coffee side, Sandpino's pours Black Oak Coffee Roasters beans from Healdsburg and stocks pastries from Don Luis Bakery in Cotati. The menu includes molletes made with Salvadoran red beans and Oaxacan cheese, plus hyper-local chai from Chai Baba and a tap list featuring Sonoma breweries, according to The Press Democrat. The whole setup is designed to shift from espresso drinks in the morning to beer and wine in the evening while keeping things relaxed with counter service throughout the day.
Family team and a packed opening night
State business records list Darlene and Ruben Sandoval as managers of Sandpino's Coffee & Brews LLC, according to BizProfile, with the business operating out of Suite A3 at the Golf Course Drive center. Opening night clearly struck a chord in the neighborhood, drawing more than 300 people, owner Ruben Sandoval told The Press Democrat. The owners say they plan to host community gatherings and position the café as a day-to-night anchor for nearby residents.
City chats and a neighborhood role
The City of Rohnert Park chose Sandpino's as a civic meet-up spot almost right away, scheduling a Community Coffee & Chat there on March 26 that brought city staff and residents together at the new café, as reported by Patch. The Rohnert Park Chamber lists Sandpino's at 101 Golf Course Drive, with daily hours from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., underscoring its full-day service to the neighborhood.
