Philadelphia police are on the hunt for a woman accused of stabbing another woman multiple times during a pre-dawn confrontation on North Beechwood Street early Monday.
Officers were called to the 6500 block of North Beechwood Street around 2 a.m., where they found a 42-year-old woman suffering from several stab wounds to her arms and another wound to her chest. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and is listed in stable condition. The attacker had already taken off before officers arrived and was last seen wearing a jean jacket, according to police.
As reported by NBC10 Philadelphia, investigators say the violence started as a verbal dispute between the two women that spiraled into a stabbing. Detectives have not released the suspect's identity or a possible motive, and no arrests have been announced. Officers are canvassing the block and reviewing any available surveillance footage in the area in hopes of tracking down the attacker.
