Three people were hurt early Monday when gunfire broke out at a Northwest Portland bar, briefly turning a normally lively Pearl District block into an active crime scene.
According to KOIN, officers with the Portland Police Bureau responded to reports of shots fired at a bar in the 500 block of Northwest 13th Avenue. Two people were treated on scene for non-life-threatening injuries, and a third victim was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle. Police secured the area while detectives collected evidence, and there were no immediate reports of arrests or information about a possible suspect or motive.

Northwest 13th Avenue cuts through the Pearl District, a dense cluster of restaurants, bars, galleries and shops that typically draws late-night crowds, according to Travel Portland. Officers temporarily closed portions of the block as they processed the scene and interviewed witnesses. The cobblestone stretch, better known for drinks and gallery walks, spent the early morning hours under police lights instead of string lights.
