A man was shot early Wednesday near Danube Lane at the Magnolia Pointe Apartments in north Durham. Officers found the victim at about 2:30 a.m., and he was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. Police say he is expected to recover, and no arrests have been announced.

According to WRAL, officers located the man at the Magnolia Pointe complex and confirmed the shooting happened near Danube Lane. Local outlets also reported a January 2025 drive by at Magnolia Pointe that killed a 15 year old, underscoring the neighborhood’s recent violence, according to ABC11.
