Dumont Creamery & Cafe has slipped into Southlake with a global scoop lineup and a side of caffeine, giving the Kimball Avenue retail strip a fresh spot for dessert runs and coffee breaks. The U.S.-based franchise, known for blending Indian-inspired desserts with American favorites, began serving customers on March 6 at 100 N. Kimball Ave. Early offerings have included pistachio, Oreo caramel fudge and strawberry chunks.
Menu and opening
According to Community Impact, Dumont's Southlake shop opened March 6 and lists milk teas, coffee and lattes alongside its ice-cream flavors. That puts the newcomer in hybrid territory, part scoop shop and part neighborhood cafe.
Dumont confirms the Southlake address as Suite 104 at 100 N. Kimball Ave., along with the store's phone number on its stores page, giving locals one more option for both sweets and sips in the same stop.
Permits and build-out
Public records show the Southlake address set for a modest remodel before welcoming customers. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation lists Project TABS2025019044 for Dumont Creamery & Cafe at 100 Kimball Ave #STE. 104, with a start date of June 24, 2025, and a completion date of Aug. 8, 2025, covering an approximately 1,808-square-foot renovation. The City of Southlake's August 2025 permit report also lists commercial permit COMR25-0071 for 100 N. Kimball Ave., Unit 104, tied to the Dumont build-out.
Part of a regional expansion
Dumont is not exactly a one-off. Its Dumont stores listing includes locations in Frisco, Plano and Coppell. Local coverage of the chain's growth has previously noted new Frisco and Northlake openings in recent months, highlighting the brand's push into suburban retail centers. For Southlake shoppers, the latest outpost adds one more dessert-and-drinks option to the busy retail district.
What to expect
Guests can expect a rotating selection of ice-cream flavors, specialty shakes, milk-tea drinks and cafe-style coffee at the Southlake store. Dumont promotes a global flavor rotation, so the scoop lineup is designed to change with the seasons and local demand. For anyone moving between errands on Kimball Avenue, the new shop offers an easy swing-by for a cone, a milk tea or a quick caffeine fix.
