What started as a late-night shooting call at a north Tulsa apartment complex turned into a rolling crime spree that left two people dead, another man seriously wounded, and a suspect later shot and killed by police.

Tulsa detectives say the violent chain of events unfolded in a matter of hours on March 31, beginning around 11:15 p.m. at the Apache Manor apartments and spilling into nearby blocks as officers scrambled between multiple, possibly connected scenes.

Timeline of events

According to OKC Fox, officers were dispatched to Apache Manor at about 11:15 p.m. after a 911 caller reported two people shot inside a parked vehicle. Investigators arrived to find a 75-year-old man, believed to be a rideshare driver, shot in the head, along with a 29-year-old woman who was gravely wounded and later died.

Burglaries and stabbing at the complex

While homicide detectives were working that scene, police were called to more trouble inside the same apartment complex. Officers responded to reports of three first-degree burglaries elsewhere in Apache Manor, where several apartment doors had been kicked in, the Tulsa Police Department wrote on Facebook.

During that sweep, officers found a 30-year-old man who had been stabbed multiple times. As they checked units, collected evidence, and tried to calm shaken residents, detectives were already looking at whether the break-ins and the earlier shootings were part of the same violent run.

Officer-involved shooting near Apache and Harvard

The chaos did not end there. Early the next morning, officers were called to a gas station near Apache and Harvard about a man accused of stealing a beer and threatening security with a bloody knife, OKC Fox reports.

Police say they encountered 34-year-old Marsean Jacue Taylor armed with two knives. Officers first tried a series of less-lethal options, including pepperballs, a bean-bag launcher, pepper spray and a Taser. When those efforts failed to stop him, one officer opened fire. Taylor was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

Police appeal and how to help

"At this time, we believe all these incidents are connected, and the individual who died in the officer-involved shooting may be linked to the initial two homicides," the Tulsa Police Department wrote on Facebook. Detectives are now working to stitch together the exact sequence of events and Taylor’s role in each scene.

Investigators are asking anyone with video, information, or who may have seen anything suspicious around Apache Manor or the Apache and Harvard area that night to come forward. Tips can be submitted through resources listed by the City of Tulsa, including calling Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS (2677).

The cases remain under active investigation, and officials say more details will be released as they are confirmed.
