Coral Gables’ South Le Jeune strip is trading one special-occasion heavyweight for another. The Wagyu Bar, a beef-obsessed outpost from the team behind Meat N' Bone, is taking over the former Caffe Vialetto space, filling a void left when the longtime Italian favorite closed in 2025 after 26 years on the block. The Wagyu Bar is scheduled to open Monday, April 13, bringing steaks, wagyu nigiri and a private dining room back to a stretch that has long punched above its weight in the dining scene.
As reported by the Miami Herald, The Wagyu Bar is moving into 4019 S. Le Jeune Road with seating for roughly 70 guests and a private room that holds up to 16. Co-owner Gabriel Llaurado told the paper he is "truly excited to bring this space to life and introduce something fresh to our beloved community, because no great story ever begins with a salad." Local outlet The Burn Miami also reported the relocation and noted that the group’s Coral Way spot has been repurposed.
Menu, Hours And What To Expect
The Wagyu Bar's website lays out a menu that mixes rare cuts and everyday plates, from Japanese A5 nigiri and charred beef tartare to burgers and grilled branzino, with prices that range from about $25 to several hundred dollars for premium A5 steaks. The site lists private dining for up to 16 guests, a Coral Gables phone number (786-579-2498) and reservation options through Resy and OpenTable. Visit The Wagyu Bar for full menu details, hours and bookings.
What The Change Says About The Neighborhood
Caffe Vialetto’s exit was one of several notable Miami restaurant closures in 2025, as long-standing neighborhood favorites gave way to new concepts. Miami New Times reported that the Italian spot served its final meal in August 2025 after a 26-year run. For Coral Gables diners, the handoff from a white-tablecloth Italian institution to a modern steak-focused operation underscores how the neighborhood is evolving while still leaning heavily into destination dining.
Where The Old Wagyu Bar Went
The Wagyu Bar's former Coral Way location at 2257 Coral Way has been converted into a Meat N' Bone boutique and a fast-casual offshoot called Meat N' Bone Kitchen, according to the brand's site. Meat N' Bone lists its Coral Way presence, and the group confirmed the retail-and-kitchen pivot to The Burn Miami. That shuffle leaves the Le Jeune address as the group’s full-service Coral Gables home base.
Reservations for the Le Jeune location are being handled via Resy and the restaurant's own site, while walk-ins can call the Coral Gables number listed online. With a loyal following from Coral Way and a splashy new address, expect the first week of service to be busy when doors open next week.
