Free donuts have a way of getting people out the door early, and Zionsville is about to put that theory to the test. When Rise’n Roll opens its new bakery in town on Friday, the Indiana favorite is marking the occasion with a giveaway built around its beloved cinnamon-caramel donut and a stack of prizes for the earliest arrivals.
Giveaway Details
According to FOX59, the first 100 customers at the new Zionsville shop will walk away with something sweet. The station reports the very first person in line will score a free dozen donuts once a week for a year. Customers two through five will get a free dozen once a month for a year. Those in spots six through 25 will receive one free dozen, and customers 26 through 100 will each get a free cinnamon-caramel donut, per a company Facebook post shared with the outlet.
Where And When
The new bakery is listed at 11581 Sylo Crossing in The Farm at Zionsville, where town records show a commercial remodel permit has been filed for the space. Per Town of Zionsville planning materials, the shop sits inside the mixed-use retail cluster along Sylo Crossing and Michigan Road.
Hours And Opening
FOX59 notes that the Zionsville location plans to open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and remain closed on Sundays. The outlet adds that the grand-opening giveaway will kick off when doors open Friday and continue while supplies last.
A Short History
Rise’n Roll traces its beginnings to an Amish couple who started selling baked goods from a Shipshewana front porch in 2001, then opened the first brick-and-mortar bakery in Middlebury in 2004, the company writes on its site. The business was sold to a non-Amish family in 2009 and has since expanded across Indiana, offering donuts, pies, cookies, sweet breads, and select Amish goods, per Rise’n Roll.
What This Means For The Farm
The new Rise’n Roll joins a growing roster of eateries and shops at The Farm at Zionsville, a retail hub near Michigan Road that has been drawing both regional and national chains. Coverage of salad star Sweetgreen and town planning documents indicate the development is steadily filling in with restaurant and retail options aimed at the northern-suburbs market.
