Two men were stabbed early Sunday and rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after deputies responded to a home on Clear Skyview Circle, off Old Stage Road in southern Wake County. The call came in around 2 a.m., and both victims were taken to a nearby trauma center for treatment.
Deputies said there is no one in custody and that the investigation is still very much active, according to WRAL. Officials have not released the victims’ names or updated their conditions while detectives continue processing the scene.
Neighborhoods On Edge
This latest stabbing lands in the middle of a tense spring for southern Wake County. Earlier in May, local coverage highlighted the Traceway Drive stabbing in Zebulon, and a February case in Willow Spring that led to an arrest, detailed in a report on a February Willow Spring stabbing arrest. Neighbors have told local outlets they are increasingly worried about late night violence as deputies chase down leads.
How To Help Investigators
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Wake County Sheriff’s Office at 919-856-6911; tips can be crucial to identifying suspects, per WRAL. The sheriff’s office has not released further details while the probe continues.
This story will be updated if officials release more information about the victims’ conditions or any arrests. For now, deputies are urging residents to report suspicious activity as investigators work to piece together what happened in that quiet cul-de-sac just after 2 a.m.
