A late-night stabbing on Traceway Drive near Zebulon left a man hospitalized early Saturday, as Wake County deputies worked into the overnight hours to track down whoever was responsible.
The Wake County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called out around 12:30 a.m. and arrived to find a man with what they described as apparent assault wounds. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were considered non-life-threatening, according to investigators.
Deputies spent the early morning searching for a suspect, and no one was in custody at that time. The investigation remains active.
In a statement to WRAL, the Sheriff's Office said the stabbing appears to be domestic-related and emphasized that "there is no threat to the public." Officials told the outlet that investigators are continuing to work the case and follow up on leads.
