Holsteins Shakes & Buns is officially on its way back to downtown Las Vegas. The burger-and-shake favorite is set to open at 1216 S. Main Street in the Arts District on May 29, 2025, bringing its over-the-top Bam‑Boozled milkshakes and big‑bun burgers from the resort corridor back into a neighborhood setting. Owners have a late-afternoon debut on the books and plan to follow it with regular daytime and late-night hours.
As reported by Eater Vegas, the new 2,800‑square‑foot spot will open its doors at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, and will operate daily with service starting at 11 a.m. The menu keeps the greatest hits, including the Forager burger and the Bam‑Boozled boozy milkshakes stacked with doughnuts, cookies and candy. The move brings a longtime favorite back to a walkable stretch of Main Street between the Velveteen Rabbit and Main St. Provisions.
Founder’s Return
In a statement to News 3 Las Vegas, Holsteins founder Billy Richardson said, "Now we’re bringing Holsteins home to locals in a neighborhood that feels like the soul of Vegas." Richardson presented the Arts District address as a homecoming that connects to his family’s downtown roots.
Design, Hours and Where To Go
According to Holsteins' location page, the new restaurant sits at 1216 S. Main Street, and the listing includes regular hours along with a contact number for reservations and questions. The design keeps exposed brick and wooden trusses and adds a bar built to handle the signature shake program, giving the room a neighborhood-friendly feel with a clear late-night draw.
What This Means For Main Street
The reopening joins a run of openings and relocations that have strengthened the Arts District dining scene in recent years, helping turn Main Street into a more walkable, food‑forward corridor. The move from the Strip to a neighborhood-focused footprint tracks with a wider Las Vegas dining trend that leans into locals and walkability. The Review‑Journal and other outlets have been documenting that shift.
Holsteins opens May 29, and fans can follow the restaurant’s social channels or check its website for reservation details and updates. With the return downtown, Holsteins brings another high-profile draw to Main Street just as summer arrives.
