Two men were stabbed Thursday evening on Dover Street near a Brockton playground, turning a neighborhood play space into a crime scene as first responders rushed both victims to area hospitals. One of the men was later flown to a Boston trauma center for additional care.
Responding officers arrived to find two adult men suffering from stab wounds near the playground and quickly secured the area while medics treated the injured. Police said the case remains under active investigation and urged anyone who saw what happened, or who may have video, to contact detectives.
According to WCVB NewsCenter 5, both victims were initially transported to local hospitals before one was airlifted to Boston. Authorities have not publicly detailed the extent of either man’s injuries.
The stabbing adds to a string of recent violent calls in the city. On May 11, officers responded to a basement apartment at 205 Pleasant Street, where two men were treated for injuries consistent with a stabbing and an assault with a beer bottle, as reported by WATD.
