Atlanta police say a man caught on surveillance cameras slipped into a Buckhead-area business and walked out with several laptops, and now investigators want the public’s help putting a name to the face. The break-in is part of a broader burglary investigation, and officials say it happened in late April in the 3000 block of Piedmont Road NE.
According to 11Alive, Atlanta Police Department investigators believe the burglary took place on April 29, with officers responding to the scene on May 1. The outlet reports that APD’s Burglary Unit released still photos, credited to the department, that show a man carrying bags as he leaves the premises.

The Atlanta Police Department and Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case. According to the Atlanta Police Department, tipsters can call 404-577-8477, use the P3 Tips app, text "CSGA" to 738477, or submit a report online, and they may remain anonymous.

Investigators chose to release still images rather than full video from the scene and noted that the photo is credited to APD. Officials have not said whether the suspect is tied to any other cases. 11Alive reports the man is accused of taking several laptop computers during the incident.
APD’s Burglary Unit says the investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with surveillance footage or information from the 3000 block of Piedmont Road NE on or around April 29 to contact detectives through the listed tip line or online portal. The department reiterated that anonymous tips that lead to an arrest and indictment may qualify for the Crime Stoppers reward.
