
Durham police are investigating after a woman was shot and wounded just before midnight on North Miami Boulevard, outside a business near Woodlawn Memorial Park. The woman was taken to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening, and a large police response kept the area taped off into the early morning hours before the scene was cleared.
What Happened At The Scene
Officers arriving on North Miami Boulevard found the injured woman and quickly secured the area. About a half-dozen police cruisers and forensic investigators were on scene, according to WRAL. Police cleared the scene just after 3 a.m. Friday and said they were not yet able to release additional details, including any suspect information. Investigators have asked anyone who saw or recorded anything to come forward.
