Cannoli cravings at Logan are about to get a lot easier to satisfy. Beloved North End bakery Mike’s Pastry is headed to Boston Logan International Airport, with concessions manager MarketPlace Development announcing that a new shop will open in Terminal C later this year. The airport outpost is being built with travelers in mind, featuring grab-and-go packaging alongside the bakery's signature cannoli and other sweets. Officials have not yet committed to a specific opening date.
Mike’s Pastry Is Heading To Terminal C
According to The Boston Globe, MarketPlace Development revealed the Logan plans in a news release. Owner Angelo Papa said, "Mike’s Pastry has always been about sharing a piece of Boston with everyone who walks through our doors." The Globe reports the Terminal C shop will serve the bakery’s best-known favorites along with a curated lineup of ready-to-go items and a full espresso bar.
Hours And What To Expect
The release states that the Logan location is slated to operate seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., although MarketPlace has not yet named an opening date, according to The Boston Globe. Massport CEO Rich Davey said that bringing Mike’s Pastry to Boston Logan "gives visitors more variety of Boston flavors," the release noted.
Logan's Local Push
The Mike’s Pastry move fits into a broader strategy to bring hometown brands into airport terminals. MarketPlace Development, which manages concessions at Logan and oversees these rollouts, is part of that effort, according to AviationPros. Industry reporting also notes that other local names, including Roger Berkowitz’s Roger’s Fish Co. in Terminal A, have opened airport outposts this year, per Fast Casual.
From The North End To The Terminal
Mike’s flagship shop remains in the North End at 300 Hanover St., and the brand already operates locations in Cambridge, Somerville and TD Garden, according to Mike’s Pastry. For now, travelers who want to grab a cannoli without leaving the terminal will have to wait until MarketPlace or Massport announces an official opening date.
