A late-night burst of gunfire on Long Beach's Westside turned deadly early Sunday when a man was killed and two women were wounded in what police are investigating as a drive-by shooting near Silverado Park.
Officers responded just after midnight on May 24 to the 3200 block of Caspian Avenue following reports of multiple people shot. All three victims were taken by emergency crews to nearby hospitals. The two women were later reported in stable condition, while the male victim died of his injuries. Detectives worked the scene overnight, and by Sunday morning police had not announced any arrests.
