Jefferson County deputies are investigating a suspected bank robbery at the Enterprise Bank branch in Cedar Hill, after the branch abruptly shut its doors while law enforcement swarmed the area Friday night.
Deputies were seen canvassing the surrounding streets as the branch was temporarily closed so investigators could process the scene. For customers pulling up to the drive‑in facility, it was not your typical quiet end to the workweek.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, deputies described the suspect as a white man about six feet tall with dark brown hair and a full beard. He was reportedly wearing a denim shirt, jeans, gloves and possibly a hat.
Investigators said the man is believed to have taken off in a white Dodge pickup with a flatbed. No weapons were displayed and no one was injured, according to the sheriff's post, which will be a small relief to anyone who was in or near the bank at the time.
Where It Happened
The Enterprise Bank branch in Cedar Hill is listed at 8475 Local Hillsboro Road, according to Enterprise Bank & Trust's locations page. The listing shows a drive‑in facility at that address serving the Jefferson County area.
How To Help
Jefferson County officials urged anyone who spots someone matching the suspect description or the white Dodge flatbed to call 911 immediately, according to the sheriff's Facebook post. Deputies also asked witnesses to hang on to any video or photos from the area and share them with investigators as they work the case.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been announced. This story will be updated as the sheriff's office and bank officials release more information.
