Cincinnati police are searching for a man they say delivered a racist death threat, then turned around and helped himself to a senior's bank account, according to court filings and a public wanted alert.
According to WKRC, Hamilton County Municipal Court documents allege that Troy Stevens flipped his middle finger at a man, told him, "I'm going to kill you," and followed it with a racial slur. Those filings form the basis of the menacing charge.
What Police Allege
A wanted listing from Crime Stoppers states that Stevens is wanted on a felony theft charge after he allegedly took a victim's PNC debit card on April 19 and made several withdrawals totaling $1,139. The posting notes that the card's owner is in their 70s, includes a physical description of Stevens, and lists his last known address as Knorr Avenue in South Fairmount.
Legal Status
The public notice does not state whether Stevens has been taken into custody. According to WKRC, the Hamilton County Municipal Court documents lay out the menacing and theft allegations, but do not constitute proof of guilt.
How To Help
Anyone with information on Stevens' whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040 or submit a tip online, according to the posting. Authorities caution residents not to approach the suspect and to leave any contact to law enforcement.
