Two women from Connecticut saw their road trip to a Greenfield music festival end in a jail cell on Thursday, after Bernardston police say a traffic stop turned up a sizeable haul of illegal drugs. Officers reported seizing at least 100 grams of suspected cocaine along with MDMA (molly), LSD and psilocybin mushrooms. Both women are being held on $10,000 bail.
According to Western Mass News, the stop began when an officer pulled over a Toyota RAV4 whose registration had been expired for more than five years. Police then searched the vehicle, shared a photo of what they say they confiscated, and cited the driver for the registration violation. The pair now face several drug-related charges.
