An early morning stop at a Colerain Township Speedway turned into a crime scene Thursday when a 22-year-old man allegedly pulled a gun on a store employee, grabbed cash and bolted on foot, according to police.
Arrest and charges
Colerain Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Darrian Hall‑Mackey and said the robbery happened just after 6:30 a.m. at the Speedway on Colerain Avenue near Compton. Officers said they later spotted Hall‑Mackey on Compton Road, chased him and caught up with him on Donnybrook Lane. Police reported finding a gun and cash on him and said he has been charged with aggravated robbery and obstructing official business, according to WKRC.

In an earlier Sedamsville robbery, a store employee was injured, as reported by WCPO. The newest arrest highlights ongoing safety worries for workers on early-morning and overnight shifts at gas-station convenience stores.
