Doraville’s Java Saga, the coffee shop that turned hulking Taiwanese fried-chicken sandwiches into a minor local obsession, is gearing up for a second location in Alpharetta. The new shop will take roughly 1,600 square feet in a Jordan Court strip center and, unlike the original pickup-focused spot, will add indoor seating. Owner Alvin Sun says the team is aiming to open in about a month.
Alpharetta Location Details
According to What Now Atlanta, the Alpharetta outpost is headed for 2905 Jordan Ct, Suite H, and will span about 1,600 square feet. The report cites owner Alvin Sun, who says they are "hoping to open in about a month," and notes that the site will finally give Java Saga fans something the Doraville pickup spot does not have: indoor seating.
What to Expect
The Alpharetta shop is expected to stick with Java Saga’s fast-casual setup, serving coffee, tea, all-day breakfast and its signature Taiwanese chicken sandwiches. Business Debut reports the space will seat roughly 40 guests and may offer limited bubble tea and beer. Core menu items, including the oversized chicken cutlets, sauces and Taiwanese crepes, are likely to make the jump alongside the existing coffee program.
From Truck to Cult Favorite
Java Saga began as a coffee-and-food truck before settling into a Doraville walk-up and takeout operation that steadily built a following for its "ABC" chicken sandwich and giant Taiwanese cutlets, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. That reputation is what the owners are counting on as they shift into a more traditional storefront setting in Alpharetta.
Ownership and Filings
State records list Java Saga LLC and identify Alvin Sun as the business organizer and registered agent, per Georgia Secretary of State filings, which include an annual registration filed May 1, 2020. The progression from truck to takeaway spot and now to a second brick-and-mortar location tracks with a growing local following and increasingly formal business filings.
For timing and menu updates, the brand has been posting to its social channels, with Java Saga on Instagram serving as the main feed for photos and opening notes. We will update this story once a firm opening date is announced.
