A deadly confrontation on a Hollywood corner Wednesday afternoon left one man fatally stabbed and three people under arrest after what police say started as a dog attack.
The violence broke out near Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue. According to investigators, a man was assaulted by four other men, suffered multiple stab wounds and later died at a hospital.
Police Say Knife Pulled After Dog Attacked
Officers responded around 3 p.m. to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the area, according to NBC Los Angeles. The outlet reports the man pulled out a knife and stabbed the dog after it attacked him, triggering a confrontation with a group of four men.
Those men allegedly set upon the victim, who was stabbed multiple times. Three suspects were taken into custody, and detectives are still searching for a fourth person, police said.
