In a social media post, staff described themselves as "heavy‑hearted" and invited customers to "sit at your favorite table" one more time. Kim's lease runs through 2027, but the business climate around him has shifted. He told Signal Akron that shrinking activity downtown, combined with the pending sale, has made the future murky. "Downtown traffic has gone down so much," he said, explaining why staying put no longer feels like a sure bet.
