Las Vegas is bracing for an extra-long glow-up in May 2027, when EDC Las Vegas stretches into a 12-day “Dusk Till Dawn” run that plays out over two consecutive weekends.

Organizers are splitting the flagship festival into EDC Dusk from May 14–16 and EDC Dawn from May 21–23, with EDC Week programming threading the party through the days in between. Promoters say the reset is designed to give Headliners more options on when and how to attend while rethinking how the massive event fits into the rhythm of the city.

Passes, prices and layaway

On the festival’s official ticket hub, one-weekend passes are listed starting at $399.99 for GA, $499.99 for GA+ and $899.99 for VIP. The new two-weekend Dusk Till Dawn passes start at $599.99 for GA, $899.99 for GA+ and $1,699.99 for VIP. According to EDC Las Vegas' ticket page, layaway plans kick in with a $5 deposit, and buyers are directed to purchase through Front Gate Tickets. The site lists the on-sale time as Friday at 12 p.m. local time, with pricing tiers and fees spelled out up front.

Insomniac calls it a reimagining

Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella framed the expansion as a creative remix of the festival rather than just a size upgrade. “I’m really excited to introduce 'Dusk Till Dawn' as the next evolution of EDC and reimagine it as an immersive 12-day journey,” he said in the announcement.

Organizers say the 2027 edition is being built around a lower daily capacity to give fans more breathing room on-site and to help smooth out travel and hotel pressures across the run. Artist lineups, themes and stage programming are still under wraps and will be revealed closer to the show. As FOX5 Las Vegas reported, the initial reveal paired the new format with those pricing and capacity details.

What it means for the city

Stretching EDC across two weekends could thin out some of the nightly crush at the festival grounds while extending the overall window of heavy visitor traffic, hotel demand and shuttle operations through the middle of May. Hoodline has previously tracked how single-weekend EDC runs can clog I-15 and surrounding surface streets as late-night crowds empty out. Venue planners at Las Vegas Motor Speedway are expected to play a key role in mapping shuttle routes, parking flows and guest access for the longer rollout.

How to plan if you’re going

EDC remains an 18+ event, and organizers are urging would-be attendees to buy only through the official festival portal and Front Gate to steer clear of scalpers. Camping and hotel packages are slated to run across both weekends. The festival’s Camp pages outline check-in windows and daily operating hours, while the ticket portal details the “all-in” pricing structure and ID requirements for entry. Headliners are encouraged to lock in official updates before booking travel so their plans match the new Dusk Till Dawn format.
