The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify a man detectives say is linked to an ongoing aggravated assault investigation. The Major Crimes Unit on Tuesday released security images and a brief description of the person of interest, described as a light-complexioned male about 5-foot-9 who may work as a truck driver for an unknown company. Deputies are hoping someone recognizes him and picks up the phone.
What investigators released
As part of the public appeal, the Major Crimes Unit shared a surveillance still along with a short description of the man they want to talk to. According to KTSM 9 News, the image was provided by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and investigators said the man is believed to be a truck driver for an unknown trucking company. The office did not connect him with any specific employer and said detectives are counting on tips to put a name to the face.
How to share tips
Investigators urged anyone with information to call the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at (915) 832-4408. The county’s communications page lists that number as the non-emergency line for tips and information, per El Paso County. Callers who might have video, photos or other information that could help are asked to mention the Major Crimes Unit when they get in touch.
Investigation status
The Major Crimes Unit has described the case as an active investigation and has not announced any arrests or charges. Detectives said they will review every tip that comes in as they follow leads, according to KTSM 9 News. Anyone who recognizes the man in the released image or knows anything about his whereabouts is urged to contact investigators.
