A 37-year-old man was arrested Wednesday during a traffic stop in Far East El Paso and booked on two counts of indecency with a child, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office. Deputies identified the suspect as Ryan Henry Falvey after a sergeant recognized him while he was driving on a residential street. Falvey was taken into custody without incident and later booked into the county jail, with a bond set at $75,000, jail records show.
According to KVIA, the sergeant with the Constable’s Office pulled Falvey over on the 14400 block of Eastbrook Drive. The constable’s office said Falvey was wanted on two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact and was taken into custody during the stop.
The constable’s office says the arrest stems from an El Paso Police Department investigation that began in 2025, and that arrest warrants were issued in March 2026 after detectives developed probable cause. Authorities have not released further information about the alleged incidents or any victims, and the constable’s office and El Paso police did not immediately provide additional comment.
Legal implications
Under Texas law, indecency with a child by sexual contact is defined in Penal Code §21.11 and generally covers sexual contact with a person younger than 17, an offense that can carry felony penalties. The statute is laid out in the Texas Penal Code. According to KVIA, the El Paso Police Department led the original investigation in 2025, and the warrants in Falvey’s case were issued in March 2026.
