The opening slate features Dead Moon veteran Toody Cole and sci-fi surf-punk favorites Man or Astro-man?, mixing international guests with hometown names such as Ibex Clone. Most festival days will land at Wiseacre Brewery on Broad Avenue, with a Sunday finale at the Overton Park Shell.

As reported by the Memphis Flyer, the first batch of artists, revealed on May 13, includes Toody Cole, Man or Astro-man?, Horsegirl, Slippers, and Retail Simps. The Flyer notes that the festival copy features short blurbs supplied by the promoter and highlights Memphis outfit Ibex Clone, which is listed as having a “3rd LP en route.”

According to Goner Records, Gonerfest 23 will run September 24 to 27, 2026, with Thursday through Saturday shows at Wiseacre Brewery and a Sunday closer at the Overton Park Shell. Wiseacre Brewery lists its Broad Avenue taproom address as 2783 Broad Ave, and the Overton Park Shell gives its address as 1928 Poplar Ave. Golden Passes are already on sale through the festival site.

Last year’s move to center most of the action at Wiseacre, capped with a Shell finale, “proved to be such a good fit” that organizers stuck with the same footprint for 2026, the Memphis Flyer reports.
