
A Thursday night shooting near North Rainbow Boulevard and Red Coach Avenue in northwest Las Vegas left one person in the hospital and a neighborhood rattled, according to police.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 4600 block of North Rainbow Boulevard at about 8:26 p.m., where they found a victim who was taken to a nearby hospital and reported to be in stable condition. Police secured the area while detectives launched an on-site investigation.
Metro told KTNV that several rounds were fired, causing damage to a structure and vehicles in the vicinity. The department said suspect information is unknown as detectives continue to comb through evidence at the scene.

North Rainbow Boulevard is a busy corridor in northwest Las Vegas that has already seen its share of high-profile trouble. In May 2025, a deadly shooting at the Las Vegas Athletic Club on the same stretch drew a heavy police response and public attention. Investigation underway
As of late Thursday, Metro detectives had not released a suspect description or a possible motive, and the area remained under active investigation, KTNV reports. Police also did not immediately say whether the gunfire appeared to be a targeted attack or a random act.
