Lionel Richie is set to headline The Muny’s summer concert finale in Forest Park, taking the stage for a one-night-only show at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29. The concert follows the Muny’s Season 108 run and keeps the theatre’s revived tradition of big outdoor shows rolling.
Ticketing and Presales
Subscriber and donor presales for the concert are scheduled to run from 9 a.m. CT on May 11 through May 17, with tickets opening to the general public at 9 a.m. CT on May 18. According to First Alert 4, those dates apply to single-performance tickets for the Muny concert.
Free Seats, Prices and VIP Options
The Muny reports that nearly 1,500 free seats at the rear of the theatre will be distributed through a digital lottery that is open now. Winners will be notified by May 15 and may claim up to two tickets. Single tickets are listed at $75 to $300, and VIP upgrades including priority parking and a private preshow cocktail party will be available. MetroTix is listed as the Muny’s only authorized ticket vendor, per The Muny.
Where This Fits Into the Muny Season
The concert caps a season that runs June 15 through Aug. 23 and sits alongside the Muny’s seven-show Season 108 lineup. As outlined by St. Louis American, the theatre has been building momentum after bringing concerts back in recent years and has been programming a mix of Broadway favorites and special events.
How to Try for Seats
Subscribers should keep an eye on presale emails, while everyone else can enter the free-seat lottery or be ready to jump on ticket sales when they open to the general public at 9 a.m. CT on May 18 through the authorized vendor.
