
Three men are in custody after gunfire shattered a quiet Sunday night at Oak Grove Park in Brooklyn Park, with bullets flying in the park’s parking lot and detectives later tracking down suspects through a series of search warrants.
According to CCX Media, officers were called to the park at about 8 p.m. on Sunday and found bullet casings and other evidence scattered across the parking lot. Inspector Matt Rabe told the outlet the gunfire appeared confined to that area and that no injuries were reported.
In a press release shared by the Brooklyn Park, MN - Police Department, officials said detectives served several search warrants on Wednesday that led to the arrests of three adult males. The men are being held at the Hennepin County Jail on enhanced charges of reckless discharge of a firearm in a park, and investigators reported recovering multiple firearms as part of the case.
