NC State police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a student at E.S. King Village on Saturday in the on-campus apartment community that houses non-first-year students and students with families.

Campus police said the victim described the suspect as a Black man in his early to mid 30s, about 5 feet to 5 feet 6 inches tall and roughly 160 to 180 pounds. Investigators say they have identified a suspect and that his last known location was off campus. The case remains under active investigation, according to WRAL.

The King Village assault report comes on the heels of a reported rape at Bragaw Hall in mid-April that triggered a WolfAlert and heightened concerns about safety among students. That earlier case was reported by ABC11 and previously covered in more detail in a dorm rocked by rape report.
