
A man was rushed to the hospital after gunfire broke out late Tuesday night in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood. Officers found the victim in the Cheney Street area with a gunshot wound and took him to a nearby hospital. His condition was not immediately known. Investigators also said a vehicle in the area had been struck by bullets.
Shooting Near Cheney Street
According to WCVB, Boston police said multiple shots were fired shortly after 10:16 p.m. Tuesday. The station reported that surveillance footage captured the chaotic moments around the time of the shooting and that no arrests had been made as officers continued to work the case.
Part of a String of Shootings Across the City
The Roxbury shooting was one of several incidents across Boston this week. Less than 24 hours earlier, officers responded to a shooting on Dacia Street in Dorchester, where another victim was hospitalized in serious condition. Boston 25 reported that detectives recovered shell casings at that scene and were treating it as an active investigation.

Boston police told WCVB that detectives are reviewing video and ballistic evidence from the Cheney Street shooting. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Boston Police or CrimeStoppers to help investigators determine what happened.
