What was supposed to be a couple of routine tattoo sessions in Milpitas has turned into a criminal case, after two women told police they were sexually assaulted while in the chair at a local shop. One suspect is now in custody, and detectives say they are looking hard at whether anyone else might have been victimized.
What Police Say
According to investigators, the case ramped up again in March when a woman contacted the Milpitas Police Department and reported she had been sexually assaulted during a tattoo appointment. Detectives say that the report led them to revisit parts of an earlier case and ultimately conclude that the same suspect had allegedly assaulted a customer during a session.
As reported by KRON4, detectives are now asking anyone who had interactions with the suspect at the shop to reach out to police.

Tipsters who prefer to remain unnamed can call the anonymous crime tip hotline at (408) 586-2500 or use the department’s online form. The phone numbers and web link were shared in the department’s public notice to the community, according to the Milpitas Police Department. Police say tips can be submitted anonymously.
Arrest And Charges
The suspect, identified by police as Tai To, was arrested on April 30 and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of felony sexual assault, authorities told KRON4. At the time of that report, court records listing any formal charges had not yet appeared in public databases, and investigators said the case remains active.

The Milpitas Police Department says detectives are continuing to track down leads and want to hear from anyone who recently had an appointment with the suspect, especially those who have not already spoken with officers. Per the Milpitas Police Department, items like appointment records, photos or other documentation from a visit to the shop could help move the investigation forward.
