As reported by Click2Houston, officers were dispatched around 12:40 a.m. to the 10200 block of West Bellfort near Dover Street, where they found the victim inside a pickup truck with several gunshot wounds. Investigators told the outlet they believe the man may have been shot roughly 30 to 40 minutes before the 911 call and that no weapon was recovered at the scene. The investigation was still active and no arrests had been announced.

KHOU reported the victim is a 40-year-old man who was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Police told KHOU they had not identified a suspect and said detectives from HPD’s investigative units were processing the scene and handling the follow-up work.
