Authorities say a months-long campaign of threats and humiliation ended in handcuffs this week for a North Miami Beach man accused of stalking his estranged wife and spreading explicit videos of her online.

Bernard David Palmer, 37, was arrested Thursday in North Miami Beach on charges that include stalking, aggravated harassment, cyberstalking and promotion of an altered sexual depiction without consent, according to WSVN. An arrest affidavit cited by the station states that Palmer shared explicit videos of the woman, threatened to post nude photos and sent iCloud links as proof that he had the material.

What the charges mean

Under Florida law, promotion of altered sexual depictions, often lumped in with so-called revenge porn crimes, is treated as a felony that can carry both criminal penalties and potential civil liability. As outlined in Florida Statutes, that type of offense can be prosecuted as a third-degree felony.

The same legal code also spells out the difference between basic stalking and more serious aggravated stalking, which can kick in when there is a credible threat or an alleged violation of a court order. Those provisions are set out in separate sections of the Florida Statutes.

Victim's account and court orders

According to the arrest documents, Palmer and the woman separated on Aug. 30, 2025, and she filed for divorce on Sept. 2, 2025. Investigators were told she also has an active temporary restraining order.

WSVN reports that the affidavit quotes one alleged message that read, “YOU BETTER HIDE BECAUSE IF I FIND YOU, I WILL KILL YOU.” The station also notes that on Oct. 10, 2025, a coworker alerted the victim after receiving messages that were believed to contain pornographic videos of her.
