
Two men were wounded in an early-morning shooting in Ellisville on Monday, after officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of Carmel Woods Drive around 1 a.m., according to authorities. Police found both men suffering from gunshot wounds. One was taken to a nearby hospital in serious but stable condition, while the other was reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators recovered a firearm at the scene and say they are aware that parts of the incident were livestreamed on social media, according to KSDK. Authorities told reporters they believe the two men knew each other and that there is no continuing threat to the wider public. Detectives are still sorting out what led up to the shooting.
