Overnight lows will slip into the upper 40s tonight as the week trends warmer, especially away from the immediate coast.
Afternoon Sun And Rising Temperatures
Temperatures will edge into the low 70s on Tuesday and climb into the mid 70s by Wednesday, with inland valleys most likely to see the warmest readings. Later in the week, some I-5 corridor neighborhoods could flirt with the upper 70s to around 80°F as high pressure builds. The immediate coast will stay the cool customer of the region, holding in the 60s while inland spots warm up.
Breezy Evenings And Marine Advisories
Boaters will want to keep a close eye on the marine forecast. Small Craft Advisories are in effect for parts of the Columbia River Bar early this morning and again early Tuesday for strong ebb currents, and for coastal waters south of Cape Foulweather from about 2 PM to 11 PM this evening. Evening gusts near 18 mph are possible at exposed waterfronts and ridgelines, and seas are expected around 6 to 8 feet through much of the week.
