Complex With A History Of Violence
The property at 2479 Abner Terrace NW has been at the center of multiple shooting investigations in recent years and was highlighted in an investigation into high-risk apartments by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Later incidents have kept the complex on law enforcement radar. After that episode, WSB-TV reported that investigators pulled surveillance video and canvassed the area for additional clues.
Atlanta police had not released further information in the initial hours of Thursday's response, and investigators on scene were still gathering evidence as the active probe continued. This story will be updated when the department provides an official briefing or announces any injuries or arrests.
