Two people were arrested Monday after Norfolk police executed multiple court-authorized search warrants at an apartment tied to Mirror Lake, seizing suspected narcotics along with a cache of rifles and handguns. Authorities described the raid as a coordinated, multi-agency operation and said the investigation is still very much active. The defendants were scheduled to be arraigned the next day in Wrentham District Court.
Multi-agency Operation Led To Arrests
In a press release posted to the Norfolk Police Department's Facebook page, detectives identified the arrestees as Vannakone Kasomany and Jennifer Thibodeau. The department said officers executed multiple court-authorized search warrants in town as part of the case.
According to the release, Norfolk police coordinated the action with federal task force officers from nearby municipalities, the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Bedford Resident Office, Plainville police detectives and an Ashland police K-9 officer. Investigators reported recovering a significant quantity of suspected narcotics along with both rifles and handguns during the searches.
Officials Stress Public Safety
The Facebook release quoted Chief James Barrett saying the seizure “improved safety for residents and officers,” while emphasizing that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Police said detectives are continuing to process evidence and follow investigative leads as the probe moves forward.

Public assessment records for the town show the Kasomany name linked to a unit on Mirror Lake Avenue, according to the Norfolk Assessor's Office. Officials noted that those assessment records reflect ownership information only and do not address or imply anything about criminal allegations.
Court Process And Next Steps
Police said both defendants are due to be arraigned in Wrentham District Court on Tuesday. Wrentham District Court handles arraignments and first-instance criminal matters for Norfolk County, according to Mass.gov.
After arraignment, the case will move through the district court process as prosecutors determine whether to pursue additional charges or seek to transfer any counts to a higher court for felony proceedings.
