RAJ Sports is pulling its scattered staff under one roof in Hillsboro this year, shifting more than 200 employees into a single headquarters at the Evergreen Corporate Center. The move will tuck the company’s front-office team next to the Kaiser Permanente Performance Center that RAJ is building for the Portland Thorns and the new WNBA Portland Fire.
The company is set to take roughly 29,000 square feet on the first floor of 8760 N.E. Evergreen Parkway, with “more than 200 people” expected to work from the site, according to KGW. The expansion bumps RAJ’s overall footprint at the Evergreen campus from about 60,000 to roughly 90,000 square feet and follows a 15-year lease the company signed last year with Workspace Property Trust, according to a press release from Workspace Property Trust.
Mike Whitehead called it “a $150 million investment in the future of women's sports, and making sure our business operations team is housed within that environment wasn't just a practical decision, it was an intentional one,” according to KGW. Team leaders say that putting business staff next to training, sports-medicine and recovery resources should tighten up scheduling, streamline player care and simplify community programs that run out of the campus.
Performance Center Anchors the Campus
The Kaiser Permanente Performance Center, a 12-acre dual-sport training complex at NE Aloclek Drive and NE Evergreen Parkway, will include training, sports-medicine and community space, according to the City of Hillsboro. The broader project is described as roughly a $150 million buildout that features a 63,000-square-foot training building, a 17,000-square-foot practice gym and outdoor fields for both the Thorns and the Portland Fire, per CoStar.

RAJ’s new offices sit inside a former Nike campus building that the landlord has been repositioning as part of the Evergreen Corporate Center conversion.
