Investigators say the shooting happened in a wooded area behind the complex, where the teen was hit in the forearm and suffered a bullet graze to the chest. Video Shows Argument Before Gun Comes Out
Raleigh officers were called shortly before 11:30 a.m. to apartments on Dansey Drive, where investigators told WRAL they found the 16-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds. According to the outlet, video that appears to be from a bystander or surveillance camera shows two males arguing before one of them pulls out a gun. Detectives say they are following leads and reviewing all available footage from the scene as they work to identify and track down the suspect.

The shooting was reported in the 4700 block of Dansey Drive in northeast Raleigh, as reported by ABC11, which noted that police described the suspected shooter as an older teen or a young man. No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not released the names of anyone involved while the case remains open. Police have asked nearby residents to review doorbell cameras, dash-cams, and any other video that might have captured the argument or the moments before or after the gunfire.
