Las Vegas police spent part of their Saturday afternoon working a shots-fired scare just off the Strip, after callers reported multiple gunshots near South Las Vegas Boulevard and Reno Avenue. Officers responded to the area, searched the surroundings, and, as of the latest update, had not found any injured victims. Detectives described the investigation as preliminary while they canvassed for witnesses and physical evidence.
According to KSNV, officers arrived to find indications that several rounds had been fired near the intersection. The station’s report, published Saturday afternoon, noted that authorities planned to release additional details as they become available.
Another flashpoint on the Strip corridor
The call adds to a string of recent gunfire reports in and around the Strip and downtown corridor, some of which have briefly shut down traffic and triggered heavier patrols. A recent Hoodline report highlighted a separate gunfire scare near Washington Avenue that shut lanes by the Strip, underscoring how quickly police move when shots are reported anywhere near the resort corridor.
