Mynt, the long-running South Beach nightclub once famous for its mint-green interior and VIP bottle service, has quietly slipped back onto the scene after a phased remodel. The refreshed room made its presence known during Miami's Formula 1 weekend, when the club brought in DJ and producer Gordo and even got a surprise drop-in from Rampa. Under new ownership, the venue is leaning into nostalgia while pushing a steady diet of Afro-house, Latin house, and groovy and melodic house sounds.
Design, Sound And The New Owner
As reported by Miami New Times, Canadian hospitality entrepreneur Dan Gunam bought Mynt at the end of 2024 and kicked off a phased redesign. Gunam told the paper, “I wanted to keep the brand and continue what Mynt is to Miami,” so the first round of work zeroed in on the club's design, sound system, and lighting. The story also notes that Mynt has been a Miami staple since 2002 and helped popularize bottle service.
Reservations, Address And Musical Focus
The club's official site lists 1921 Collins Avenue and a phone number and is already taking reservations and guest-list requests as nights ramp up. myntlounge.com also lets visitors click in their music preferences, including Afro/Latin house and melodic and groovy subgenres, mirroring the programming Gunam outlined.
Gunam's Toronto Track Record
Gunam comes in with a long Toronto hospitality resume, including concepts such as Kissa and Soluna, and a reputation for pairing design-driven rooms with DJ-centered programming. TasteToronto profiles highlight his focus on immersive dining-and-music experiences.
What To Expect This Summer
Gunam told Miami New Times he plans to bring in more international DJs through the summer and into the fall, pushing further into Afro-house, Latin house, and melodic sets. The paper reports that Gordo's appearance and Rampa's surprise set were part of an early soft launch, a test run for the upgraded sound and lighting on prime nights. For locals, that could translate to more evenings built squarely around the dancefloor while Mynt keeps its VIP service as a core part of the brand.
Reservations and guest-list requests are available through Mynt's website or by phone, and the club says a speakeasy-style members' lounge is slated for a later phase of the redesign. Keep an eye on Mynt's bookings as Gunam rolls out more international acts through 2026.
