As reported by The Real Deal, the penthouse closed at $23 million, or roughly $3,150 per square foot, which makes it the year-to-date leader for on-market condo trades in Los Angeles County. The price came after a series of listing cuts in recent months before the deal finally clicked into place.
Inside the penthouse
The top-floor spread clocks in at about 7,303 square feet and is laid out with four bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two powder rooms, according to the building's listing details on rennie. The primary suite alone tops 1,000 square feet.
Floor-to-ceiling motorized glass walls open the great room to a wraparound terrace of roughly 1,900 square feet, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor space. The plan also includes a butler's kitchen and direct elevator access from the garage, features clearly aimed at a buyer who wants privacy with their views.
Where it sits in the market
The $23 million sale follows an $18.8 million off-market transfer at 8899 Beverly in April, according to property records on Zillow. It also edges out the prior top on-market condo sale of 2026, a roughly $13.75 million closing at 1 West Century Drive, per Redfin. Taken together, those numbers suggest buyers are selectively returning to the upper reaches of L.A.'s condo market after a sluggish start to the year.
Michelle Montany, one of the listing agents, told The Real Deal, “It feels like somebody pushed a button and the buyers came back.” According to the outlet, both sides in the deal declined to identify the buyer, citing nondisclosure agreements.
Property pages show the deal closed on May 18, 2026, according to the building's listing information on rennie. Agent credits list Redeavor's Taaseen Qureshi and Michelle Montany as the listing brokers, with The Agency's Emma Baker and Nikki Joel representing the buyer, per the property's details on Zillow.
