A late-morning two-vehicle collision in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday turned deadly, leaving one person dead and another hospitalized, authorities said. The crash was reported around 11:50 a.m. near the intersection of Alameda and Bay streets. Officials have not yet identified the victim or released any explanation for what led up to the wreck.
According to CBS News Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Police Department logged the collision and said one person was killed. The Los Angeles Fire Department told the outlet that another person was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. CBS reported that no additional details were immediately available.
