A late night Airbnb party in Central City spun into chaos early Sunday when gunfire broke out, wounding a man and sending guests scrambling for cover as police rushed to the scene.
What police say
New Orleans police say the shooting happened around 2:57 a.m., when about 20 people were gathered at an Airbnb rental on the 2200 block of Louisiana Avenue. According to Fox 8, the first shots were fired near a front side alley, sending partygoers running toward the rear of the property, where more gunfire followed. A man was hit and taken to a local hospital by New Orleans EMS, and police have not released his condition. The shooter took off before officers arrived, and no arrests had been reported at the time.
