A street argument between teenagers in Clairton turned into gunfire Monday, leaving a 17-year-old girl shot and grazed by a bullet, Allegheny County police said. She was hit in the leg and suffered a graze wound to her rib, then was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. Investigators said the shooting followed a verbal argument on the street between juveniles.

According to WTAE, dispatchers were alerted to shots fired near the intersection of 3rd Street and Waddell Avenue. A preliminary investigation shows the victim was involved in a verbal argument with another juvenile when she was struck. Authorities did not immediately identify any suspects.

Investigators say the case remains active and details are limited; WTAE reported there were no immediate arrests as of Monday.
