A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed Friday evening along Mt. Zion Road in Clayton County, and police are still searching for whoever pulled the trigger.
Officers were called to the 800 block of Mt. Zion Road around 6 p.m., where they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital and later died from his injuries, according to the Clayton County Police Department.
Atlanta News First reported that officers with the Clayton County Police Department located the injured teen when they arrived at the scene and rushed him to a local hospital for treatment.
