What Happened
The armed robbery unfolded around 5 p.m. at the post office loading dock on Watson Road, as reported by KMOV. A patrol officer who did not yet know about the theft tried to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation. Police say the driver first reversed, then suddenly accelerated into the officer, throwing the officer onto the hood before taking off. A second officer gave chase but lost sight of the vehicle after it crossed into Illinois.
