A 26-year-old passenger was killed Friday night after a vehicle left the road and crashed into a cattle pasture in Ottawa County, according to state officials. The wreck happened near East 220 Road and South 590 Road around 8:18 p.m., and medical personnel pronounced the passenger dead at the scene. The driver was not injured, and troopers said the circumstances remain under investigation.
State troopers identified the victim as Dustin Aaron Underwood, 26, of Fairland. Troopers told KTUL that Underwood was riding as a passenger in the vehicle when it crashed into the pasture and that he was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, while the driver walked away without any reported injuries.
